The car needs a full restoration, all the woodwork has been done and is outstanding in Russian walnut, and most other parts for its restoration are included. The mileage is 102,831 most likely correct.

It is in unique colours, sold in London by Pass and Joyce also Rolls Royce dealers to Wire Products and Machine Design, Mrs J Fitch on 7th July 1959. It originally had a glass partition as it was most likely chauffer driven, this was removed by a subsequent owner, the fog and spot light are in their original location different to other Stars, it retains its original UK number plates, which in the UK would be highly desirable.

In January 1965 it was bought by Dr Brennan from David Scott-Moncrieff a motor dealer who used it very little then took it to Minnesota where it had a minor accident around 1968 damaging the RHS rearmudguard, it was taken off the road and stored in basement garage in Edina a suburb of Minneapolis for many years, after his death it was moved to Rino Imports in 1993, unfortunately due to freeze thaw condensation rust has developed in the lower bodywork. Inner and outer replacement sills are included.

There was a rumour that the owner after Mrs Fitch was Ex-King Farouk, prior to Dr Brennan. I had lived in Minnesota in the 70s and on a visit in 1995 discovered the Star, Rino Imports did not want it to be wrecked for spares and I decided it needed to be saved from snow and ice, had it put in a container and shipped to Canberra where it has remained in dry storage. Too many other projects and responsibilities now allow a new custodian to take over to restore it to magnificence.
