Lucas Technical Service - Overseas Technical Correspondence Course

The Lucas Technical Workshop Resources comprise a structured nine-session training program developed by the Lucas Technical Service Department to provide automotive technicians with a comprehensive understanding of vehicle electrical and related systems. 

The course progresses from fundamental principles through to more advanced components, covering:

• Introduction
• Batteries (Session 1)
• Starting motors (Session 2)
• Coil ignition systems (Session 3)
• Generators (Session 4)
• Generator control equipment (Session 5)
• Vehicle wiring and circuits (Session 6)
• Lighting systems (Session 7)
• Auxiliary electrical equipment - wipers, horns and accessories (Session 8)
• Overdrive systems (Session 9)

Each session combines theory, component operation, fault diagnosis and servicing procedures, creating a practical workshop reference designed to build the knowledge and troubleshooting skills required for maintaining and repairing classic Lucas-equipped vehicles.

After you've completed the course you can print off the certificate of completion to indicate your newly honed skills in Lucas electrical equipment.
