This vehicle was a special order from the factory, with an enlarged boot, non- opening windscreen, and special paint scheme for a South African buyer. The vehicle was extensively professionally restored about 20 years ago, has been regularly maintained since then, and still presents very well now. As a late 17HP it has a reinforced chassis, steel firewall and centrifugal 'traffic clutch'. Its restoration is documented in the Southern Sphinx April 2003 (available in the members section at www.armstrongsiddeley.org).
